Collared!

As the clocks go back and the lighter mornings give way to darker afternoons and evenings, the inevitable wet and muddy conditions greet dog owners around the country.

If your pawfect pal is anything like ours, rivers, puddles, mud patches and alike, are likely to prove to be a magnet for your little terrors. Aside from being terribly good fun, it does mean that collars, harnesses and any other haute couture your pal might be wearing inevitable gets soaked and filthy requiring a good wash and dry before the next outing.

Our beloved Maisie who we lost in November 2023 had a particular magnetism towards sand which really did the dirty on her collars.

That in itself becomes quite a burden and it was this that made us start to look for products that would alleviate this issue. And that’s when we discovered Biothane. As a material it’s fantastically robust being very durable, and incredibly easy to clean and dry.

We came across it when we wanted a training lead that we could let drag on the ground and would stand for being stamped on and caught up in undergrowth and whatnot. The issue is that for a long lead length the cost of Biothane can be quite expensive.

So we had a think, and having also faced wet, dank and smelly collars on a regular basis, we decided that as a material it would be perfect for a collar, with durability, convenience and cost all balancing out quite nicely.

So it’s with great pleasure that we have introduced a range of Biothane collars to our shop. They look absolutely first class, with lovely silver chrome buckles, and a choice of a number of colours from bring yellow and coral through to plain black. They come in 3 neck sizes and are all adjutable so you can find the perfect fit for your pooch.

Not only are these Biothane collars durable, practical and stylish, but they are 100% vegan and cruelty-free in their production so you can rest assured they have been ethically produced.

Check them out in our shop now, but hurry. There’s limited quantities available.
