The seed of an idea…

Bringing a new puppy into the home is just like bringing home a newborn. As new parents you strive to give your new family member everything they need to be stimulated, entertained, warm, safe and happy.

The trouble is there are countless numbers of product on the market and it’s increasingly difficult to know what is the right product for you.

As a family, we had our Maisie (labradoodle) for 14 years and our success with products for her were generally hit and miss, but there didn’t seem to be anywhere where we could get impartial and real advice.

So this is where the idea from Pawfect Picks seeded. With our new puppy Bailey, another Labradoodle (the mixed breed just works for us on so many levels), we decided that we’d test products and only the products we were really keen on would we stock and sell.

But we also realised that just our opinion doesn’t really give the whole picture. Dogs, like humans, have their own character traits and their own ideas for what works for them. So we have a team of canine testers and their owners, who give us real feedback about the products we test and only when we get a broad consensus and a thumbs up do we even consider stocking an item.

We’ll continue with this approach as we believe that this is the best way to ensure the products you buy have the greatest chance of success with your dogs.
